Teachers’ Day: Honouring Our Mentors

Every year on 5th September, India celebrates Teachers’ Day to pay tribute to the guiding lights of our lives. The day also marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great philosopher, teacher, and the second President of India.

Teachers are more than educators—they are mentors, role models, and lifelong guides. They inspire curiosity, build character, and shape the future of every student. On this day, schools and colleges organize cultural programs, role-reversal activities, and heartfelt tributes to appreciate their contribution.

Though one day is not enough to thank them, Teachers’ Day is a reminder to express our gratitude for their dedication, patience, and wisdom.
